B.A. Pass is a 2012 Indian thriller film written and directed by Kirti Nakhwa, starring Surabhi Lakshmi, Deepak Choudhary, Rahul Singh and Sandhya Mridul in the lead roles. The film was jointly produced by Ankur Tewari and AK Films. It tells the story of two young woman in Patna who study for Bachelors degree in Arts (B.A) with the plan to take up marriage-oriented jobs after completing their graduation but they decide to discontinue studies during the final year because of various pressures like financial stress, inequality at home, child-care issues etc. The film then deals with the story of how these two lead characters return to their alma-mater and try to take inspiration from the life that they had imagined as ideal as they can.The shooting of B.A Pass started on the city of Patna in November, 2011 and wrapped up in March 2012. The title song was shot at Radisson Hotel Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh, with a budget of . It was produced by Ankur Tewari under AK Films banner & directed by Kirti Nakhwa. B. A. Pass has been in the making since August, 2011. It took director Kirti Nakhwa and Principal Casting Director Vaishali Takkar over three months to cast the film with actors from Patna and Delhi. The principal cast members include: Rahul Singh, who appeared in films such as Salt N Pepper, Agneepath and Life Partner is one of the supporting artists in B.A Pass along with Drishti Dhami and Yashpal Yadav who have worked in TV serials like Mahabharat and East End Lahasil Ki Haveli respectively. As per the director's statement, the film is a big leap for the people of Patna and Bihar in general. This is because this Gujarati Film Industry or Bollywood has ventured into their city and made a film which will be shown all over India.The soundtrack of B.A. Pass was composed by Yuvraj Singh, while the lyrics were written by Swanand Kirkire and Kirti Nakhwa. The soundtrack has five original songs, two remixes and a theme song for a total of 8 tracks. The film received positive reviews from critics with praise to the music, lyrics and score by Yuvraj Singh. The first original song of the album is titled "Amaro Gopal" and sung by Aditya Narayan Singh. We have four remixes in this album, sung by Gaurav Arora, KK, Rahul Jain & Shabnam. A new theme song was added in the end called "Hero". B.A Pass was released on 13 June 2012 all over India with a special preview screening on 11 May 2012 at Pragati Maidan .
