FM 2007 Modifier 214 is a feature in Football Manager that allows the player to remove players from the squad. This means that you are able to release these players without paying their buyout clause, making them free for any other team. Players with this modifier are identified by their red numbers on the transfer screen. For example, if Ivan Perisic has this modifier then Ivan Perisic will be untradable for any club not his current one. However, you will still be able to negotiate with his team. If you have this modifier, the only way to get rid of it is by playing a game of Football Manager. This system is no longer in use in newer versions of FM after patch 6.0. FM 08 Modifier 696 FM 08 Modifier 696 is the name for the system that allows you to select what type of club you want to manage in "Create-A-Club" mode.
